How to cheat and get away with it

OgameAnalizer Bot

Most of the time, when starting in a new uni, it can be a tedious process to develop planets from zero. Unless you want to become a farm from the very beginning, you have to be online the entire time for the first couple of days. This is where OgameAnalizer steps in: it will build and research in your predefined order.
The tool consists of both web interface, which you can access with any browser and a client software, which is optional. After setting a few options, such as time to check status, and of course your username and password, the bot is ready to run. The most important feature, in my opinion, is auto fleet save and resource save, on either inactive planets, or debris fields.
OgameAnalizer is also integrated with Galaxy Tool and Ostat.org.
The author, Jeff, plans on making the bot to work with OgameClient only. Currently, the client can only view galaxy, events, fleet, and autospy. Although this bot is not completely translated to english, it can be on request. In the future, auto-save and auto-attack with battle simulation are planned.
There are several other features, you can read more about it on OgameAnalizer website. For those who don't understand russian, you can translate the page with Babelfish.
As far as I know, there are no known bugs. I tested it on ogame.org and it worked - at least for the building part. I didn't get to any ships to see how auto fleet save and other features work.
The bot has a price though. It will cost you $50, and a recurring payment of $10 every month, payable with WebMoney (for other payment options you should contact Jeff). You can also request a 2 week trial for $5.
Jeff used to be #1 in one universe; he is using the bot for a year now and he's still not banned - so I guess OgameAnalizer is worth the price - but that is entirely up to you to decide.

Small update here!

Poll results: Did you ever cheat in OGame

Today is exactly one month since I asked you if you cheat in OGame or not, so I thought I'll post a short overview about the poll's results.
At the time of writing this, there are 655 votes in total. 129 people have answered yes, meaning they cheat(ed), and 526 people answered no. In other words, 20% cheaters. Just a little more math, since December 13th to this moment, there were a little over 8000 unique visitors, which means 8% of the visitors voted on the poll (if my math is correct).
Does that mean 20% of all players cheat? In my opinion, no. Most of you (40%) found my blog on Google, searching for cheats, bots, scripts... Why would someone who hasn't cheated before search for cheats now? And people who did cheat before are more likely to search for more cheats I guess. Perhaps I asked the wrong question in the poll, but that's why I'll ask another now. What I want to know this time is, did you cheat in OGame before you found this blog. This should give us more exact numbers, and also I'll see if I helped you cheat or if I'm completely useless.

Ogame Auto Player

[Edit, 19.01.2007.]

Is seems the author can't be contacted and this is a waste of money.

Don't buy it!

[end edit]

Features:

  • Auto build mines in order solar plant, metal mine then crystal mine.
  • Warns when you receive espionage by sounding off a siren once.
  • Warns when beeing attacked by playing siren sound till you come back to the computer.
  • Auto ship out resources to your main base which is a very tedious task in ogame.
  • Option to turn of auto ship so can keep resources. (what's that?)
Unfortunately, the author doesn't respond to my e-mails so perhaps this cheat can't even be obtained. More bad news - it's not free. It will cost you $10 to get the bot. Whether it's worth it or not... I don't know. There's no screenshots, no updates. Looks fishy. If you want to try it though, check the website.

AutoIt

I won't write much about AutoIt since it's pretty much self explanatory.

AutoIt v3 is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. It uses a combination of simulated keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation in order to automate tasks in a way not possible or reliable with other languages (e.g. VBScript and SendKeys). AutoIt is also very small, self-contained and will run on 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003 out of the box with no annoying "runtimes" required! You can even make compiled executable scripts that can run without AutoIt being installed!

AutoIt can:

  • Provide a general-purpose scripting language for all Windows versions
  • Simulate keystrokes (supports most keyboard layouts)
  • Simulate mouse movements and clicks
  • Move, resize and manipulate windows
  • Interact directly with "controls" on a window (set/get text from edit controls, check boxes and radio buttons, select items in drop-down lists, etc.)
  • Create complex user interfaces (GUIs)
  • Work with the clipboard to cut/paste text items
  • Provide a scriptable RunAs function for Windows 2000/XP/2003

It comes with an excellent documentation in russian, german, spanish, italian, and of course english. And if you get stuck you can easily get help on the forum.
AutoIt is free to download, and also features a script editor to help you write your own scripts.

Unification Wars

Unification Wars is an excellent alternative to OGame. Whether you got bored with OGame, or you just want another little addiction, you should consider this.

Why should you play UW instead OGame?

  • 124 technologies - OGame has 15
  • 8 alien races
  • more than 60 artifacts
  • more than 300 single player missions
  • hundreds of different battle strategies
  • cash prizes
  • 33 ships

It looks a bit confusing at start - but this game has hundreds of features that OGame will probably never have. There's plenty of singleplayer missions that guide you through the complexity of this game and help you understand how things work.
It can be played with a normal browser just as OGame, but you can also play with a client if you prefer better graphics and music.
There's no catch. Unification Wars is completely free, it will only cost a minute of your time to make an account and see the advantages it has to offer.
